Bally Models with SmartVap Controller — Alarm Codes and Definitions

This document applies to Bally models with the listed controller. Use exact alarm code matching. Do not reinterpret or substitute codes.

PSA: Suction pressure sensor fault. Sensor is shorted, open, or pressure reading is out of range.

SSA: Suction temperature sensor fault. Sensor is shorted or open.

ASA: Return air temperature sensor fault. Sensor is shorted or open.

CSA: Coil temperature sensor fault. Sensor is shorted or open.

HSH: High superheat alarm. Superheat is above the configured upper limit.

LSH: Low superheat alarm. Superheat is below the configured lower limit.

HtA: High room temperature alarm. Room temperature remained above the high alarm threshold longer than the configured delay.

LtA: Low room temperature alarm. Room temperature remained below the low alarm threshold longer than the configured delay.

EdF: Excess defrost alarm. Thirty-two or more defrosts occurred within forty-eight hours.

dtt: Defrost terminated on time. Defrost ended by maximum time instead of termination temperature for two consecutive cycles.

dor: Door open alarm. Door remained open and room temperature exceeded threshold for the configured delay.

CoA: Communication alarm. Bonded controllers lost communication for one minute or more.

EA1: External alarm input 1 active.

EA2: External alarm input 2 active.

EA3: External alarm input 3 active.

EFL: Email notification failure. Email server did not confirm delivery after repeated attempts.

A1A: Auxiliary temperature sensor 1 fault. Sensor is shorted or open.

A2A: Auxiliary temperature sensor 2 fault. Sensor is shorted or open.

A3A: Auxiliary temperature sensor 3 fault. Sensor is shorted or open.

Pdt: Pump down timeout. Maximum allowed pump down time was exceeded.

SCC: Short compressor cycle alarm. Compressor started excessively to maintain suction pressure.

LPA: Low pressure alarm. Suction pressure dropped below expected point an excessive number of times.

PrF: Display communication failure. Basic display is not communicating with the controller.
